On Wednesday 29th April the Gomer Girls football team was in action again. This time they were playing in the final of the Gosport Schools Sports Partnership tournament. It was held in overcast and windy conditions which meant that the team would need to be at their best. The three strongest teams from the previous rounds had to play each other and the team with the most points would be victorious. The first game was against a strong Holbrook A side. Gomer played really well, closing players down and making the most of the ball. They were rewarded with a 4-0 victory. The second game against Holbrook B was played in rain and wind. The team stuck together to secure a second 4-0 win and therefore became winners of the tournament. This followed two league victories of 7-2 against Alverstoke and 6-0 against Peel Common. Well done to Millie, Leah, Freya, Bethany, Ruby, Lillie, Libby, Cassie and Holly. Keep up the good work on Thursday 30 April against Castle Primary of Portchester.image3 image4 image5 image6 image1 image2
