Science Week 2016 is upon us! Gomer Junior School are of course taking part in style and have an exciting 3 days planned. This week our children will be immersed in gSTEM like they’ve never been before. They will become structural engineers, robot programmers, chemists, mathematicians and much, much more.
Not only will your children be enjoying gSTEM this week, but on Thursday 17 from 2.15pm, parents/carers are invited to Gomer Junior to experience some of the fun and in depth learning that goes on during gSTEM. Have a go at programming our new robots and become chemists yourself and let your children showcase to you some of the fabulous work they have been doing this week and this term in their weekly gSTEM sessions. The children can’t wait to show you.
Thursday is also national Demo Day, so when you visit us be prepared to enjoy some potentially messy science demonstrations, expertly performed and explained by our pupils! If your child is contributing a demonstration you may wish to send them to school on Thursday with a homemade lab coat, (this could be an old shirt or painting apron).
We look forward to sharing with you some of our outstanding gSTEM learning. With thanks to our gSTEM Leader, Mrs Digby for organising our exciting week of learning and to Team Gomer for pioneering gSTEM.
