To mark our success for being accredited a Beach School, we wanted the children to visit the beach. As a community that respects its surroundings, we wanted to do something to show how much we appreciate where we live. So, 200 Y3 – Y5 children, staff and parents/carers (massive help, thank you) organised a litter pick of Stokes Bay. Following a whole school safety assembly this morning the children worked superbly together today. Working in teams, with the correct safety resources we were able to fill several (sadly) bin bags. We were rewarded with superb weather today. However, the children stayed well clear of the waters edge to ensure they were safe. Today marked a great community spirit. Team Gomer are currently planning our all year beach curriculum – exciting times. Go Gomer!
