On Friday 1 June, Team Gomer finally got to enjoy Sports Day – in the sun too! All children participated in a variety of fun sporting events. We were delighted to be joined by so many parents/carers who cheered on the children. Following trials a couple of weeks ago, Sports Day ended with a whole host of track events and a competitive ‘tug of war’.  It was the GREEN time who triumphed on the day. However, all children must be congratulated for taking part with great enthusiasm. Mrs Mulhall was very proud to announce that Gomer has been recognised, by the Youth Sport Trust, https://www.youthsporttrust.org/  as having significant sporting achievement. In role as a Sports Ambassador (one of three in Hampshire), Mrs Muhall will be representing Gomer at a conference soon. With thanks to Mr Potter for ensuring we are fit and healthy, Miss Holden for over-seeing our PE Curriculum and and all the staff who lead clubs and/or take the children to a whole host of sporting opportunities.
