Wow – what a brilliant end to another super week at Gomer. Following our Walk to School and Park and Stride event (in rather a lot of rain) Gomer Junior were blessed with glorious weather for our super Summer Fete. There was a significant buzz in school yesterday as the FROGJS prepared for our fete. We were delighted that SO many children offered their time to host a range of stalls, many of which they organised and resourced themselves. We were very busy and it was lovely to see so many parents/carers and Gomer Infant children too (we are looking forward to getting to know the Y2s even more after half term). Alongside a lovely atmosphere, sunny weather,  a range of activity, delicious refreshments and lots of home-made fun, with thanks to your support (before, during and after the event) we took an incredible £1852.63. After accounting for our costs to put on the fete we have secured £1552 to put towards our Sensory Garden. With the money we are collecting from Tescos (please put your blue tokens in the box in the Fareham store) we should be able to complete the work in one phase. This is brilliant. With significant thanks to the FROGJS who organised the fete, Team Gomer who hosted a range of stalls (Mr Milnes got very wet!), the children who provided the stalls (thanks to parents/carers for enabling these) and to everyone who spent their pennies. We love our ‘home made’ fetes as they showcase the fabulous Gomer community. Go Gomer!

A final thanks to all the local businesses who supported our raffle and in particular Fairhalls Estate Agent and Signs Express Portsmouth. You have had a hard copy of the sponsors and we will share them on the website too.
