You will be aware that all children at Gomer attended an assembly this week hosted by the NSPCC. Speak out Stay safe, offered at no cost to schools, teaches children aged 5-11 about safeguarding in a lively, interactive and memorable way. With the help of the NSPCC mascot Buddy, the child-friendly, interactive assemblies and workshops help children:

  • understand abuse in all its forms and recognise the signs
  • know how to protect themselves.

Our Y5 and Y6 children also participated in an extended session facilitated through a workshop. With thanks to the presenters who worked with our community in a very informative and sensible manner.
