The Gomer Community and some of our Service Families, gathered today, to remember the fallen since 1914, with a clear focus on the 100 years passing since the end of WWl in 1918. The gathering was an opportunity for us to be reminded why Remembrance, in relation to 11 November, is so important. The community were surrounded by 240 poppies which were made by every child in the school. Furthermore, the community were given the perspective of war from a WWl soldier and heard a range of poems, read by some of our service parents and their children. The uniformed presence and the live playing of the Last Post and Reveille added to the poignant time of reflection. The service personnel who attended ware pictured with our Remembrance art tribute.
