Year 3 have had an afternoon of successful experiential learning. They have sampled Spanish themed food as part of their MfL learning journey and have learnt all about shrines for their RE learning – within the context of Hinduism. Spanish food choices included: chorizo sausage, manchego and olives. The vast majority of the children tasted all of the food. We do appreciate that olives are an acquired taste – the additional chorizo provided addressed the taste not all the children were keen on! The children learnt about the importance of a shrine to Hindus, how to construct a shame and the relevance of the items in the shrine. This was part of the children’s learning about Krishna.
