Most importantly, Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun!  It is an opportunity for our children to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! The wearing of odd socks today, for Gomer Junior, serves as the finale of our anti-bullying week and we will use our assembly to reflect on key themes. The children extended our Kindness Fortnight learning by thinking about how we can spread kindness by celebrating what makes us all unique. Last week, every class spent some considerable time in class. The children have participated in creating a message for anti-bullying through short dramas (Yr5), writing about Kindness Acts that have impacted on them (Y6) and designed Super Heroes to stamp out bullying and spread kindness (Y3 & Y4). We’ll be adding a gallery, later, of our odd socks.
