Gomer rocked this afternoon with its live streaming of the nativity Hosanna Rock. Every year group sang live which helped to tell the story of the nativity. Wrapped around the live performances were some prerecorded sketches and songs which told the story of Mary and Joseph and the birth of Jesus superbly. The school grounds were used superbly and the contemporary twist really added to the storytelling. The children looked wonderfully festive in their jumpers and headdresses and were watched by 182 families yesterday afternoon. We learnt from last year that watching the nativity online enables families from near and far to watch it, making it an incredibly inclusive and accessible event. If you missed the ‘live’ event, please do go and watch it following the link the school e mailed to you. Every child had the opportunity to watch the nativity this afternoon (other than when they were performing) because they may well like to watch it again also.
