Yesterday, many of us came to school wearing odd socks! This was a visual reminder that each and every one of us are unique. We are not alone in our uniqueness and no one has to face bullying alone.

During our Class Assembly we watched the BIG Anti-bullying assembly and took some time to read through our school’s Anti-Bullying Policy, reminding ourselves of the aim of this policy and what our responsibilities are to ensure it is upheld. We all have a responsibility to prevent or stop bullying in our school.  We discussed the importance of seeking support and speaking out against bullying. Children shared how our school character virtues helped to ensure that Gomer is a safe environment for all:
We should always try our best to be kind to each other
We should help and respect one another We can grow together, learning how to treat others with respect and how to be self-confident
Everyone should yearn to be the best they can be
Children identified that it is important to all work together to create a safe and happy community that is free from bullying.
