Dressed in red, white and blue, the children sang their way through the decades this afternoon and did brilliantly. The songs were a hit and it was great to see the adults singing and dancing along too. The National Anthem enabled all in attendance, who wanted to, to sing together. Our ‘centre stage’, decorated by an array of homemade bunting, enabled an awesome atmosphere to be created in The Hall. Over the two performances, we entertained 231 parents/carers. Ahead of the performances, the children enjoyed decorating their homemade biscuits, receiving a gift from the FROGJS (thank you) and participating in other Coronation-themed activities. Such events, sitting amongst an already busy curriculum, take much attention and planning. With thanks to big Team Gomer for their efforts and attention to detail to enable the children’s memory making of the coronation. Our ‘street style’ picnic saw 178 GFM Catering lunches being served today – thank you Maria and Tiare. Final thanks to our families for their understanding of our adapted plans and for supporting the fabulous FROGJS and POGOs with the refreshment sales. Go Gomer and ‘God save the king’. Wishing you all and enjoyable Bank Holiday weekend – see you on Tuesday!
