On Monday, we hosted our annual Harvest Celebration. We started our celebration with our school choir who sang beautifully. We reflected on the importance of food, those who grow and distribute it, and how to look after ourselves and help others. We gave thanks to the ‘earth’ for all it provides us and reminded ourselves of how we can look after our planet and our school and the local community. With thanks to Rachel for joining us from the Gosport Food Bank for telling us how our gifts will help the community. Harvest is a time to give thanks. Harvest Festival is also a celebration of the food grown on the land. In Britain, people have given thanks for successful harvests since pagan times. We are delighted to have given thanks today and to have celebrated as a community. With thanks to gifts, families gave. And for our families who are in need of some support, please liaise with the LAPS Team.
