Firstly, with thanks to all our families for their understanding of our decision to close today. We understand that today may have caused some inconvenience. However, our primary concern was to ensure that everyone remained safe during the forecasted adverse weather conditions expected during the storm. Secondly, with thanks to all the children who were able to attend their live online learning lessons – you were all brilliant and showed huge skill – you looked super smart in your uniforms too. Year 5 enjoyed discussing interesting topics, such as ‘every class should have a pet’, in breakout groups during their English persuasive writing learning. One child has written: ‘I believe we should have a class pet because it would motivate us to do our learning. Also, it would make sure we are quiet in class because we would not want to wake it up when it was napping. Another reason, we should have a class pet because we love animals and would want to play with them. This would help us learn to share and take turns. Because of all these reasons, I believe we should have a class pet.’ Great effort Year 5! Wonderful picture Year 6. And, awesome resilience Team Gomer.
