It was lovely to see so many parents/carers at the Year 6 SATs meeting today. The meeting was an opportunity to:

  • Address any misconceptions about the tests
  • Share the children’s learning journey from Year 3 to Year 6 and the progress they have made
  • Provide key information about how SATs are administered
  • View the SATs timetable
  • Sample some exemplar questions (similar to those which have been sent home)
  • Answer any parent/carer questions about SATs
  • Discuss ways in which you can further support your child at home

The presentation had quite a few slides. For those parents who could not attend and/or those who did but require a helpful revisit, please visit the Year 6 Curriculum page here to access the presentation. Year 6 have continue to put a lot of effort into the preparation for their SATs – these taking place in May. In the time the children have been with us, they have also demonstrated their many talents in sport, art, music, drama and humanities. We recognise and value the importance of the ‘whole child’!
