Year 5 were involved in a special one day workshop, provided by the Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service.
They learned valuable safety tips for staying safe in the event of a fire, as well as important road safety advice.

Some of the lessons were hard hitting, but highlighted the seriousness of staying safe and what to do in the event of an emergency.
The children also had a chance to identify possible causes of fire (in the purpose built trailer), learn how to reduce risk and think about planning ahead (e.g. making sure smoke detectors are regularly checked and having an escape plan).
