Dear Parents and Carers,
We are very much looking forward to welcoming the Year 6 children to GFest on Thursday 16th July. Only 3 weeks away!
This special event will take place on the school grounds from 1:00pm until 4:00pm, and the children are invited to come dressed for a festival-style afternoon.
Throughout the afternoon, there will be fun games, food and drink, and plenty of opportunities for the children to make happy memories together as they celebrate the end of their time in Year 6.
As part of the afternoon, we are also having a Candy Salad for the children to enjoy. This is completely optional, but any children who would like to take part are invited to bring in a bag of sweets to add to the bowl. A sign-up sheet will be available in 6GS so that we can try to include a wide range of different sweets.
We will end the afternoon with a colour run, sending the children off in a blaze of colour. This works best when children are wearing a white T-shirt, so they may wish to bring one to change into before the colour run. The paint is non-toxic and does usually wash out; however, please ensure your child is wearing something you do not mind getting messy.
