Local Offer
Hampshire County Council publishes information about services that are available for children and young people from birth to 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. This is known as the ‘Local Offer’. On the site, you’ll find a wealth of useful material that can help you access the right services and support for you and your family.

Many families are not always aware of the wide range of support, advice and services available beyond school. The Hampshire Local Offer is an excellent place to start for parents and carers who may be seeking additional guidance, support or information for their child.
The Local Offer brings together information about services available for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across Hampshire. This includes support with areas such as learning needs, emotional wellbeing, speech and language, neurodiversity, health services, short breaks, family support and much more.
At King’s Academy Gomer, we are always committed to supporting children and families as best we can. However, schools have limited in-house services and specialist capacity. Because of this, we strongly encourage families to explore the Hampshire Local Offer, which can help signpost parents and carers to a much broader range of professional advice, resources and external support services.
The Local Offer can be accessed here: Hampshire SEND Local Offer
We hope families find this resource helpful and reassuring. Accessing advice early and understanding what support is available can often make a real difference for children and young people.
