On Thursday 28 September Gomer A and B football teams took the field to the field for the first time this year. They began with a tricky away tie at Bedenham Primary School.
The A team played first and soon started to play the ball about impressively and began to cause the Bedenham defence some problems. Eventually pressure told, as Noah notched up the first goal of the season. However this sparked life into Bedenham who scored two quick goals to lead 2-1 at half time.
In the second half the game continued to be tight with a strong midfield battle taking place. Gomer continued to press and got a deserved equaliser when Fergal lashed the ball into the net.

The B team were organised extremely well by new captain Tanisha. The team started strongly and chances started to be created. There were number of near misses in the first half but no goals.
Luke in goal had seldom been troubled in the first half but had to be sharp for a couple of saves in the second. Gomer were looking for goals and the first one came courtesy of George. Fine work by Tanisha ‘down the wing’ again set up George for goal number 2. The game was killed off towards the end when Tanisha’s cross found Cody, who in turn, found the net.
