February is Pride Month and so in today’s class assembly children will be looking at what Pride is. Both lower and upper school will look at what LGBTQ+ stands for and why Pride is celebrated (the purpose and importance of this). Children will then have a chance to ask questions either as part of class discussion or anonymously before reflecting on why they are proud of who they are. It is important that all students feel equal within our community and proud of who they are. We are all unique, we are all different, we are all equal.
