Continuing our theme of ‘we love Gomer because…’ the spotlight is on Year 3 today. Year 3 love that they get to dress-up to help with their learning. Please do look at the children’s fabulous outfits in the gallery below. On Friday, the children had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the life of an Ancient Egyptian. The children all looked fantastic in their range of costumes – as did the adults in the Year group. The children took part in a range of activities, including: mummifying a piece of fruit, understanding the Ancient Egyptian writing system and then writing their name in hieroglyphics on their own handmade papyrus followed by creating Egyptian amulets from clay. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, drawing to a close our history learning for this half term.
