On Friday, in their RE learning, Year 5 discussed how the Eucharist may impact upon a Christian’s identity. They explored the concept of religious ‘identity’ through religious artefacts, the eating of bread as a  symbol and accessing video diaries of children about to take part in their First Holy Communion (Catholic Church). Experiential learning continues to be an important part of our curriculum. And, within any one unit of learning, the children ‘communicate’ a personal response to the concept they are learning about.
