We can’t believe that almost a month has passed since Mr Baker-Jones (local history enthusiast and leader of St. Mary’s Sailing Club) led our assembly about D-Day. Mr Baker-Jones volunteered his time to talk to the children about the role Stokes Bay had to play in the D-Day landings. We learned lots and the children were captivated by what he had to say. It was an excellent part of our D-Day commemorations.
