Today, Year 6 took part in a valuable fire safety workshop, where they learned essential tips to help keep themselves and their families safe. As part of a half-term challenge (and something we could all benefit from!), they were encouraged to plan a fire exit strategy at home and establish a meeting point with their family. At school, we have a clear plan in place with a designated meeting point. When the fire alarm sounds, all children and staff know exactly what to do, which allows us to stay calm and exit the building safely. With a meeting point, we can ensure that everyone has made it out.
Remember:
Keep calm. Get out of the building. Call for help.
This workshop reminded us all of the importance of being prepared and staying safe!
