We are incredibly proud of all our children who took part in yesterday’s Remembrance Gatherings in and around Gosport. It was moving to see so many of our pupils on parade at the War Memorial, representing Gomer and honouring those who sacrificed so much. A special commendation goes to Parker and Penny, who were superb Gomer ambassadors and well supported by Miss Hall – our Service Club leader. Their presentation of the Gomer wreath on behalf of our school was dignified and heartfelt, reflecting the respect and reverence we all feel on this important occasion. We were pleased to join our KGA Hampshire family schools too: Bay House, Brune Park and Gomer. we were delighted to see many of our children attend school in Cadet, Scout, Brownie or Guide uniform as an additional mark of respect. We were equally grateful to welcome eight of our service parents who joined us for a sombre and poignant remembrance gathering. Their presence and participation meant a great deal to our school community. In Gosport, a town with such a proud military heritage, we feel a deep connection to our serving community. We will remember, with gratitude and respect, all those who have served and continue to serve. Lest we forget.
