This week, our children have been rocking their way to success in the Times Table Rock Stars (TTRS) National Challenge! The excitement in school has been palpable as everyone got stuck into practising their times-tables, aiming to secure a spot on the national leaderboard. Times tables are a fundamental part of mathematics. Knowing these key number facts not only supports children in solving calculations more quickly but also builds their confidence when tackling more complex mathematical problems. From fractions to algebra, a strong grasp of times tables is a powerful tool in every child’s learning journey. At school, the children have been enthusiastically engaging with TTRS, a fun and interactive platform that makes learning times tables an enjoyable challenge. TTRS helps children retain their knowledge through repetition, games, and a bit of friendly competition – and it’s brilliant to see their confidence grow with every question answered! We encourage families to support their children in practising at home to reinforce these key skills for the future.Take a look at this snapshot of our Year 4 children, hard at work and enjoying the buzz of the competition! With your support, let’s keep the momentum going.
Remember: TTRS is available to use at any time, so even after the challenge, it’s a fantastic way to keep practising and sharpening those times table skills. Keep rocking!
