We would like to extend thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for the Year 6 drop-in sessions yesterday. It was wonderful to see so many of you there—40 parents attended, and your involvement is greatly appreciated. Your commitment to supporting your child’s learning journey makes a tremendous difference. We are aware some parents just could not make it so we were keen to share all of the related resources here.

Resources to Support SATs Preparation

To further assist you at home, we have uploaded all resources from the session to the Year Group website page. Additionally, as requested, we are sharing links to past SATs papers from 2022, which can be used for practice at home. These links are also available on Google Classroom:

Important Reminder

We kindly ask you not to use the 2023 and 2024 SATs papers for practice at home, as these will be completed in school. By reserving these papers for in-school assessments, we can ensure they provide an accurate reflection of your child’s knowledge and progress. This enables us to tailor our support effectively.

Helpful Resources on Google Classroom

For additional support, we have created two dedicated folders on the Classwork page of Google Classroom:

  • Help with Home Learning
  • SATs Practise at Home

We encourage you to explore these resources and use them to guide your child’s preparation.

Working Together for Success

During our meeting, we discussed several ways you can assist your child in preparing for their SATs, including ensuring they complete their Home Learning tasks. Your ongoing support in these areas is invaluable, and we are grateful for your dedication to your child’s success.

Thank you once again for working with us in the best interests of your child. Mrs Fry and Mrs Thurston look forward to continuing this collaboration and meeting with you during the upcoming home/school Learning Reviews.

Together, we can help your child achieve their best this year!
