This week, our Year 4 pupils took part in the annual Gomer Christingle service at St. Mary’s Church, Alverstoke. The service beautifully built on the children’s RE learning about Advent, focusing on the theme of anticipation. The church was filled with the sound of the children’s voices as they sang wonderfully, accompanied by the talented Mr Pilott. The service was led by the Rev. Andy and the Rev. Paul, who engaged the children and attendees with their thoughtful words. Mrs. Mulhall gave an inspiring talk about light and dark, encouraging everyone to reflect on how these themes are present in our lives. We were delighted to be joined by so many parents and carers, whose presence added to the warmth and community spirit of the occasion. We’re also incredibly grateful for the generous donations of spare change, which will be passed on to the Children’s Society, supporting their vital work. The Christingle service is a cherished tradition in our annual calendar, bringing together our school and wider community in celebration and reflection. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event so special. We look forward to our whole school nativity next week.
