We know that many of our families are concerned about mobile phone use and the apps their children may be accessing. In response to your feedback, we are delighted to share a fantastic opportunity to learn more about this important topic from a true expert.
Lee Haywood, founder of Online Safety UK, will be delivering an engaging and informative session titled Demystifying the World of Apps. Many of our Team Gomer staff have previously received training from Lee – he is exceptionally knowledgeable and has a brilliant way of explaining tech matters in an accessible and practical manner.
There are two sessions available on Wednesday 21 May 2025 – 16:00 or 18:00 – both hosted in the Main Hall at King’s Academy Bay House School. This is also a great chance for our Year 6 pupils to have a pre-transition visit to their future secondary school.
The session is designed for parents/carers and primary-aged children to attend together, though you are welcome to attend alone if you prefer. Each session lasts no more than an hour and includes time for Lee to answer your questions.
In today’s digital world, it’s more important than ever to understand how technology impacts our children – and how to keep them safe while helping them to thrive online. We are thrilled to be running this event in conjunction with our Bay House Cluster Schools, working together to support families across our community.
With thanks to King’s Academy Bay House for kindly agreeing to host the event.
