On Thursday the whole school attended the BAE Systems STEM Roadshow, held at King’s Academy Bay House. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to our friends at Bay House for hosting such an engaging and relevant event.
From AI-generated music videos to hands-on experiences with lidar technology, the children were inspired, energised, and utterly captivated. One of the biggest highlights? Meeting Lexi the robot dog—who absolutely stole the show and the hearts of our children!
It was a brilliant day of curiosity, creativity and cutting-edge technology, helping our learners to imagine the endless possibilities of a future in STEM. The engagement from every pupil spoke volumes. The room was buzzing with excitement and ideas, so much so some of our children have already created their own school-based songs having being inspired by the show.
Thank you to BAE Systems, the RAF and the Royal Navy for continuing to ignite a passion for STEM through this brilliant programme. Days like this show our children that the future is theirs to shape—and they’ll do it with imagination, purpose and joy.
