What an exciting start to the week at King’s Academy Gomer! Today, we were thrilled to welcome professional scooter rider Terry Price, who wowed the whole school with an incredible stunt show on our playground. This special event was a prize from Sustrans, who kindly rewarded us for winning the Leg it to Lapland active travel challenge back in December. A huge thank you to Sustrans for recognising our efforts and supporting active, healthy lifestyles.

The stunts were nothing short of amazing. The whole school gasped when Terry pulled off a full 360 spin in the air! Children and staff alike were left inspired and amazed by his skill and confidence.

After the show, the year groups that contributed the most miles to the December challenge were treated to workshop with Terry. The children had a brilliant time learning scooter techniques, practising safely, and hearing more about how Terry got into stunt riding.

It was a super experience all round and a great reminder of how fun and rewarding active travel can be!
