Does having large feet mean you are tall? This week, Year 3 combined maths and technology in an exciting data-handling project. Pupils worked in pairs to measure each other’s height, record their findings, and input the data into Google Sheets.

Once the information was collected, they explored whether there might be a correlation between shoe size and height – sparking lots of curiosity and great mathematical discussions! Along the way, pupils developed skills in:

• Accurately measuring using a tape measure
• Organising and inputting data into a digital table
• Observing patterns and trends
• Working together and supporting one another

We are proud of how confident and independent our learners were throughout the session. It is wonderful to see how maths comes to life when it’s linked to real-world questions!
