After a fantastic season, our football topped the South League, earning us a place in the grand final against Elson Junior, the champions of the North League. Our players gave it their all, playing a 30‑minute match followed by 10 minutes of extra time. With heart and resilience, the game went to penalties, and our team triumphed and bringing the trophy back to Gomer, reclaimed since 2023!

This was an awesome match and tightly contested, full of determination, and truly well-deserved. We are incredibly proud of every player, coach, and supporter who lifted our spirits throughout!

A Trophy with Heritage

This cup holds deep meaning for our school. Our traditions trace back through the years with memories of past victories and school spirit revived each season. One inspiring tale comes from 1955/56, when at Brockhurst School, both a grandfather and his grandson from KA Gomer ended up lifting exactly the same trophy, six decades apart! It’s the same Gosport schools cup, passed down, shared, and cherished across generations.

This win is more than silverware, it embodies:

  • History: Continuing a decades-long legacy of passion and pride
  • Perseverance: Showing that hard work and unity pay off
  • Inspiration: Encouraging every pupil to aim high and keep going!

We were overjoyed to bring the trophy back to KA Gomer.
