On Thursday, Year 3 had a fantastic morning at the beach, making the most of the sunshine and fresh sea air. After a short walk from school to the beach, the children set up camp on the field beside the sailing club, where they rehydrated and prepared for a series of fun activities.

The morning began with a challenge to find as many stones as possible with holes all the way through; a task tackled with enthusiasm and curiosity. This was followed by a beach-themed scavenger hunt and a creative competition to build the tallest tower using individual stones. Congratulations to Elektra and Sienna, whose tower reached an impressive 144mm!

Later, the children practised their social skills by ordering and paying for their own ice creams, which they enjoyed together in the shade. A few energetic games rounded off the visit before a relaxed walk back to school.

The children’s behaviour throughout the trip was exemplary, earning praise from all the adults involved. It was a morning full of smiles and learning.
