What a fantastic way to finish off the term at KA Gomer. We welcomed 94 parents/carers to join our children in a celebration of creativity as part of the global movement, The Big Draw Festival, whose aim is “to get everyone drawing”. This year, we celebrate 25 years with the theme ‘Drawn Together’, highlighting how creativity unites us and how collaboration and connection are at the heart of making.

🎨 What happened?

The hall and classrooms buzzed with enthusiasm as our pupils and their grown-ups took part in drawing activities together. From large collaborative murals to quick sketch challenges, everyone from Year 3 to Year 6 grabbed a pencil, pen or a marker and had a go. The key message of The Big Draw, “drawing to learn, not learning to draw” was alive and well as the children explored ideas, experimented with materials and spoke with adults about their work.
