On Monday, Year 4 enjoyed their very first lesson in their exciting new Paralympics unit of learning. This half term, the children will be exploring Ancient Greece and the origins of the Olympic Games. In Personal Development, they will build on this by learning about families and relationships, including how stereotypes, particularly around disabilities, can affect people’s experiences.

To bring all this learning to life, PE lessons will focus on how sports can be adapted for everyone, ensuring that all children, whatever their ability, can enjoy being active and healthy. This week, the children rose to the challenge of seated volleyball, showing fantastic teamwork and encouragement throughout. Well done, Year 4!
