Our Young Carers Club had a wonderful festive get-together this week, and the children had fun relaxing and spending time with friends. One Year 3 child described it as “the best time”. Another said, “Because my brother is not here and I can do fun things on my own”, really highlighting how valuable this dedicated time is for them.

The children enjoyed a range of Christmas activities, including making cards and working with clay. One pupil shared, “I liked making the Christmas cards,” while another said, “I really liked modelling the clay.” Another child summed it up perfectly with, “The food was amazing!” There was also plenty of laughter as they joined in with dancing and singing along to Christmas music.

The children shared some brilliant ideas for our next Young Carers session and are already looking forward to coming together again soon. A huge thank you to Ms Kimber and Mrs Scott for running our Young Carers Club with such care, creativity and kindness.
