This afternoon, our school community came together for a special performance of The Magical Christmas Jigsaw, held at St. Mary’s Church, Alverstoke. The afternoon was filled with excitement, joy and a wonderful sense of togetherness, making it a memorable celebration for all involved.
We are incredibly proud of all our pupils, but would like to give particular praise to our Year 6 children, who shone throughout the performance. Their confident narration, expressive acting and beautiful singing were outstanding. Remarkably, the children performed in the church without a full run-through in the space beforehand, and many had not heard the complete narration as a whole. Despite this, they rose to the challenge with maturity, teamwork and professionalism, delivering a performance to be proud of.
The production was brought to life through the children’s enthusiasm and commitment, supported by the encouragement of families who helped them practise songs, learn lines and prepare costumes and headdresses at home. The result was a joyful celebration that truly captured the spirit of Christmas.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to St Mary’s Church, Alverstoke, for so warmly welcoming us (as always) and providing such a beautiful setting for our nativity. We are grateful for their continued support and hospitality. Events like this are a powerful reminder of the strength of our school community and the dedication of our staff, who work tirelessly to create meaningful, memory-making experiences for our children.
Well done to everyone involved in making The Magical Christmas Jigsaw such a magical success.
