At Gomer, we love to see our children take the lead in shaping how technology is used across our school. Two of our brilliant Gomer girls have taken a keen interest in our 3D printer, exploring its potential and ensuring that everyone has fair access to this exciting resource.
Recognising the need for clear guidance, they have designed protocols to ensure that all children across the school can benefit from using the 3D printer. Their work has helped bring clarity and fairness to how projects are printed, ensuring equitable opportunities for all.
To share their ideas, they delivered a whole-school presentation, confidently explaining the new procedures and inspiring their peers. They took feedback and added pupil voice to their protocols. The 3D printer is now busier than ever, regularly producing a variety of creative projects across the school. As part of their initiative, the girls even designed and printed tokens to support the new system.
They have worked closely with Mr Mulhall, the Digital Lead for KGA Hampshire Schools, to develop these protocols, and we are incredibly proud of their leadership, teamwork, and innovative thinking.
The future of technology at Gomer is bright—thanks to our super students who are leading the way!
