Year 3 have continued their geometry learning in a fun and active way. In this lesson, the focus was on different types of lines, including perpendicular, parallel, horizontal, and vertical. The children used their bodies to create each line type, turning the classroom into a lively, interactive space. To add to the excitement, we played a special version of Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, but with a twist. Instead of calling out body parts, we called out line types, and the children had to quickly grab their pens and show their partner the correct line. There was a lot of laughter, fantastic teamwork, and impressive learning. The adults were amazed at how much the children’s recall and understanding improved during the activity.
