Today, further to the letter we sent you last week, we have used our assembly to acknowledge White Ribbon Day. We used White Ribbon materials to explore what it means to ‘speak up’ when things don’t feel right. We are teaching our students that they have the power to change culture by challenging harmful ‘banter’ and supporting one another. This work aligns with our core King’s Group Academies values:

• Honesty: We encourage open, honest conversations about what healthy, respectful relationships look like.
• Faith: We have faith in our young people, both boys and girls, to lead the way in creating a society based on equality and mutual respect.
• Courage: We are empowering our students to have the courage to speak up, to be active bystanders, and to say “no” to attitudes that harm others.
