We are aware that choosing the right school for your child is an important one.  We encourage parents/carers to view our school prior to applying for a place for your child. Facilities for Pupils with Disabilities Our school is fully accessible, with all classrooms and facilities located on a single level. To ensure ease of movement, we provide ramps and wide corridors that are wheelchair accessible. For pupils requiring additional support, we have specialised seating and hoists to meet medical needs, ensuring all pupils can fully engage in school life.

For any in-year applications, KGA Hampshire Admissions will process these directly making use of the HCC Fair Access protocols as per The School Admissions Code.

Key dates for applying for a Year 3 place for 2025:

• Wednesday 23 October: open morning (9am) and open afternoon (2.20pm) in the school hall
• Friday 1 November 2024: application process for Year 3 junior school places opens
• Wednesday 15 January 2025: Applications are due by
• Wednesday 16 April 2025: Parents/carers will be notified of school places
• Wednesday 20 November: in the event you can not meet with us on Wednesday 23 October, we have made available a tour of the school at 4.15-4.45pm.
• 1 May 2025: Admissions Appeals via HCC

Please see below and watch our Starters Open Day video. This will give you an opportunity to meet some of Team Gomer (big and small) and have a look around our fabulous school through the eyes of the children. King’s Academy Gomer continues to be a very popular choice for our local families.

We will schedule a ‘Welcome and Information Sharing Meeting’ scheduled, for successful Year 3 applications, in June 2025. We plan to send home information regarding the transition, via e mail, before the 2025 May half-term.
