Headteacher Statement

Welcome to King’s Academy Gomer

At King’s Academy Gomer and King’s Academy Rowner, we are incredibly proud of our vibrant and happy schools, where everyone has a place and plays a vital role in our thriving community. When we say we are Team Gomer and Team Rowner, we mean it. It’s not just written on our backs – it’s woven into everything we do. Our Trust values of ‘honesty, faith, and courage’ guide us, shaping an environment where children, staff, and families feel valued, supported, and celebrated.

Our children are brilliant  – they are at the heart of everything we do, with an awesome team wrapped around them to help them flourish. We are always looking for new people to join us, bringing fresh ideas and energy to our dedicated and dynamic team.

As Executive Headteacher of King’s Academy Gomer and King’s Academy Rowner, I bring significant leadership experience from a variety of settings. I am committed to fostering inclusive and high-quality education. For example, Rowner achieved an Ofsted rating of ‘Good,’ with elements of ‘Outstanding,’ in October 2022 -a testament to the hard work and dedication of our amazing team.

At both King’s Academy Gomer and King’s Academy , we offer a rich and balanced curriculum that values academic excellence, creativity, and personal development. Our schools are recognised nationally for their achievements in STEM, including winning the TES Team of the Year Award for STEM, and our commitment to the arts shines through Rowner’s Dance Live successes, with multiple wins over the years. Gosport in Bloom has highly commended both schools for our gardening endeavours. These accolades highlight our belief in giving children a broad range of opportunities to grow and succeed.

Rooted in the Gosport community I love, I am passionate about making a difference for our children and families. Living here myself, I take pride in creating a school environment that reflects the warmth, optimism, and ambition of our town and our Trust.

We invite you to explore our websites, which serve as a window into the heart of our schools. Better still, come and visit us to experience the sense of community and warmth that makes Gomer and Rowner such special places to work and learn. We would love to welcome you to Team Gomer or Team Rowner as we continue to grow, improve, and make a difference together – with ‘honesty, faith, and courage’ at the heart of all we do.
