Today at King’s Academy Gomer, we dived headfirst into the magic of books as we celebrated World Book Day 2025 with this year’s theme: Read Your Way! Our school was bursting with colour and creativity as children and staff arrived dressed as their favourite book characters – the effort and imagination on display were simply fantastic! From classic heroes to modern favourites, the variety of costumes was incredible, and the photos capture just a snapshot of the excitement.

We LOVE, LOVE reading, and today was all about celebrating that passion! The whole school gathered for a special assembly to share our love of books before diving into an afternoon packed with fun-filled activities. From book tasting and meeting an author to sharing book reviews and being read to, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Reading is at the heart of everything we do at Gomer, and today was a wonderful reminder of why stories matter so much. They spark our imagination, help us explore new worlds, and build our skills for life. While World Book Day may be just one day, our love for reading continues every day – and we’ll keep doing everything we can to inspire every child to find joy in books.
