Last term, Year 3 enjoyed their Egyptian Day, bringing history to life in the most engaging way. The day was packed with exciting, hands-on experiences that helped deepen the children’s understanding of Ancient Egypt. Pupils witnessed a fascinating demonstration of the mummification process, giving them a real insight into ancient rituals and beliefs. They also stepped into the role of scribes, practising early writing techniques and exploring how communication worked in this ancient civilisation.

Curiosity was sparked further as the children took part in an artefact investigation, carefully examining objects and discussing what they could tell us about life in Ancient Egypt. To round off the experience, they even had the chance to play traditional Egyptian games, adding a fun and interactive element to their learning.

The children looked absolutely superb in their costumes, fully embracing the theme and helping to create a vibrant and immersive atmosphere throughout the day.
