As part of the ‘Month of the Military Child’, we were proud to celebrate and support our Service children through a special lunch hosted by Miss Hall last week. All of our Service children were invited, and we were delighted by the uptake. It was lovely to see so many pupils come together to enjoy some time with one another, along with a few special drinks and treats to make the occasion feel just that little bit extra special.
At King’s Academy Gomer, our Service Club plays an important role in supporting children whose families serve in the Armed Forces. We recognise that Service life can bring unique challenges, including periods of separation, change and uncertainty. That’s why it is so important that we provide a sense of belonging, understanding and stability within school.
We are proud to support our Service children both through dedicated opportunities like this and through our day-to-day practice. This support is always offered thoughtfully and discreetly, ensuring that every child feels valued, included and cared for.
Thank you to Miss Hall for organising such a special event. It was a wonderful way to recognise and celebrate our Service children. 💜
