We are absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news. King’s Academy Gomer has been crowned the top Bike It School in the recent Big Walk & Wheel event! With an incredible 96.21% of our children travelling to school in an active way, we secured 1st place:
- King’s Academy Gomer – 96.21%
- Shakespeare Infant School – 92.46%
- Elson Junior School – 77.37%
- Hiltingbury Junior School – 75.94%
- Hiltingbury Infant School – 75.11%
This is a phenomenal achievement and a reflection of our school community’s commitment to healthy, active lifestyles. Even more impressively, we placed in the top 10 across the whole UK for medium primary schools and 1st in the South of England. This is an outstanding result!
As a reward for this amazing effort, we have won the grand prize of a special day with former world scooter champion Terry Price. This is an experience we know the children will be incredibly excited about.
