This afternoon, as the weather turned wet, damp and rather dark, a beautiful rainbow appeared and framed King’s Academy Gomer perfectly. It was a lovely moment of brightness on an otherwise grey day.

The darker, wetter months can sometimes affect our mood, but as always, life at KA Gomer carries on with smiles, fresh air and children enjoying being outside whenever they can. Seeing a rainbow arching over our school felt like a timely reminder of that sense of optimism and togetherness.

Did you know? Rainbows form when sunlight is refracted, reflected and dispersed through water droplets in the air, which is why they often appear just as rain begins to clear. Each rainbow is unique and always appears opposite the sun.

As we move through the darker months, moments like this remind us how important it is to get outside, notice the small wonders around us, and keep finding the colour even on the greyest days.

With thanks to Mr Guest for capturing this beautiful photograph.
