There’s a common myth that schools begin to wind down as the end of the summer term approaches. At KA Gomer, the opposite couldn’t be more true! If anything, we speed up, making the very most of every opportunity to create memorable experiences for our children before the holidays begin. Our final week was packed with excitement, celebration and togetherness. We enjoyed wonderful concerts showcasing our pupils’ talents, an action-filled Let’s Do It Day, our emotional Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly, and, of course, the whole-school annual Water Play session – always a firm favourite and the perfect way to round off the year.

One of the highlights of the week was celebrating the achievements and character of our children through a number of special awards. The Jenny Godbold Award was presented to a Year 5 pupil who has navigated the year with resilience, determination and positivity, embodying the values that this award represents. Our Annual Kindness Award was proudly presented to Amelia in Year 6, recognising the compassion, thoughtfulness and care she shows to others every single day. The Music Award was awarded to Robin in recognition of his beautiful singing voice has brought joy to so many throughout the year.

We also celebrated the conclusion of this year’s House Points Cup competition. After a fantastic year of teamwork and effort, the trophy was shared jointly between the Yellow and Blue House – a fitting reflection of the commitment shown by all our pupils.

As another successful year comes to a close, we are incredibly proud of everything our children have achieved. Finishing the year with so many opportunities to celebrate, perform, play and recognise one another is exactly what makes KA Gomer such a special place to learn and grow.
