We would like to say a big thank you to the Open the Book team from St Mary’s Church for visiting us recently and sharing a powerful Bible story with the children. The team brought to life the story of Paul’s journey, including his dramatic change on the road to Damascus and his time in prison. Through storytelling and drama, the children learned how someone can change their behaviour, make better choices and use their experiences to do good.
From this story, pupils explored a modern, child-friendly message that applies to everyday life:
- People can change for the better
- Everyone makes mistakes, but we can learn from them
- Kindness, courage and making positive choices matter
- We should never judge others too quickly
A huge well done and thank you to the children who helped act out the story so confidently and enthusiastically. Their focus, expression and teamwork really helped bring the message to life for everyone watching. We are very grateful to the Open the Book team for helping us learn in such an engaging and memorable way.
